Blaafy is a real-time multiplayer party game where players invent fake answers and try to guess the real one. This page explains, plainly, what information Blaafy collects, why, and what you can do about it.
01Information we collect
You can play Blaafy entirely as a guest, without ever creating an account. In that case, the only information involved is a display name and an avatar you choose, stored locally on your device, plus whatever you type during a game (your bluffed answers and votes) — sent to our server only for the duration of that game session.
We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or device identifiers of any kind for guest play.
02Accounts & sign-in
An account is only needed if you want to unlock premium categories or subscribe. Blaafy supports signing in with your Google or Apple account. When you do, we receive and store:
- Your email address
- A unique identifier from Google or Apple, used to recognize your account on future sign-ins
We never see or store your Google or Apple password — authentication happens entirely through their sign-in systems.
03Purchases & subscriptions
In the mobile app, category unlocks and subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and processed by RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. On the website (blaafy.com), subscriptions are paid through Stripe Checkout. We store which categories and subscription status are associated with your account so we can unlock the right content. We do not receive or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple, Google, Stripe, and RevenueCat.
04Third-party services
Blaafy relies on a small number of external services to function:
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In | Account authentication |
| RevenueCat | Purchase and subscription management |
| Stripe | Web payments and subscription billing (blaafy.com) |
| Cloudinary | Hosting images used in trivia questions (not user data) |
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
05Advertising
Blaafy does not display ads and does not use advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) or any third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
06Data retention
Game room data (players, questions, guesses, votes) lives only in server memory for the duration of a game and is discarded shortly after the room empties — it is never stored permanently. Account data (email, entitlements) is kept for as long as your account exists.
07Your rights & choices
You can, at any time:
- Play as a guest without ever providing an email or creating an account
- Request a copy of the account data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.
08Children's privacy
Blaafy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
09Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted connections between the app and our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Blaafy after a change means you accept the updated policy.
